Clara founded Vivant Counseling & Psychotherapy as a private practice in 2022. She is well versed in the ins and outs of private practice, having worked in a group private practice setting since 2016. She is experienced in the process of private practice development, and is passionate about providing guidance to other mental health professionals interested in starting their own practice. She offers consultation services for assistance navigating the exciting process of private practice entrepreneurship.
HIPAA Compliance for Private Practices
Many private practice owners are unaware of the steps they must take to maintain compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) in their practice. It can be a very daunting topic - many clinicians do not receive adequate training on HIPAA and legal regulations can be difficult to translate into practice. Clara is highly experienced in HIPAA compliance for private practice owners, and is passionate about making this topic accessible to clinicians. Clara offers hourly consultative services as well as flat-fee services including HIPAA Policies & Procedures templates, Security Risk Assessment templates, and guides for maintaining HIPAA compliance in your private practice. She also offers a free consultation to those interested in learning more about HIPAA and the necessary steps to maintain a more compliant practice. She has collaborated with leaders in the HIPAA compliance field and engages in regular training to ensure that her materials are up-to-date.
Consultation Services
Clara provides trainings, presentations, and other mental health programming to a variety of organizations and institutions. A collaboration with Clara can fulfill several types of goals for you or your organization. These goals can include professional development or support, mental health and wellness programming, topic-specific mental health education, or community service, among others. Clara’s most recent presentation on creativity and mental health was delivered to new students at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music.
Clinical Supervision/Consultation
Clara has experience delivering clinical supervision to counselors-in-training and provisionally licensed clinicians. She served as Clinical Administrator, Clinical Supervisor, and director of the clinical internship program at Artemis Counseling & Creative Life Counseling Services from 2019-2022. She has also received a semester credit in Clinical Supervision from Loyola University Chicago and has completed 20+ hours of post-graduate clinical supervision training. Areas of clinical specialty and formalized training include Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMHC), ACT, CBT, relationships (Gottman Level 1), anxiety, depression, suicidality, and others.
